Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha and a celebrity podcaster, has invested Rs 4-5 crore in Cafe Amudham, a QSR inspired by The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru.
Cafe Amudham, known for its ghee-laden dosas and idlis, follows a different expansion strategy compared to The Rameshwaram Cafe, focusing on opening multiple outlets in different cities.
While The Rameshwaram Cafe concentrates on building a strong local brand in Bengaluru, Cafe Amudham aims for rapid expansion across various locations.
Cafe Amudham was reportedly started by Priyanka Rudrappa, who previously worked at The Rameshwaram Cafe, and both the cafe and Nikhil Kamath declined to respond to queries from IndianStartupNews.
