<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true">ISRO conducted a successful rocket launching test with a payload in Uttar Pradesh, marking the first time a payload was launched via a rocket from UP.The test, conducted in collaboration with Thrust Tech India Limited, saw the rocket ascend 1.1 km and the payload being released successfully.A small satellite released from the rocket landed safely using a parachute within 400 meters of the ground.This test was a precursor to an upcoming event in October-November, where around 900 youth-built satellites will be tested.Vinod Kumar, Director of Thrust Tech India, confirmed the success of the motor test.The aim of the event was to generate interest in space technology among children in the region and across India.This launch in UP differed from previous tests in Ahmedabad as it directly launched a satellite using a rocket, proving to be entirely successful.
