ISRO Conducts First Successful Rocket Launching Test With Payload In UP

  • ISRO conducted a successful rocket launching test with a payload in Uttar Pradesh, marking the first time a payload was launched via a rocket from UP.
  • The test, conducted in collaboration with Thrust Tech India Limited, saw the rocket ascend 1.1 km and the payload being released successfully.
  • A small satellite released from the rocket landed safely using a parachute within 400 meters of the ground.
  • This test was a precursor to an upcoming event in October-November, where around 900 youth-built satellites will be tested.
  • Vinod Kumar, Director of Thrust Tech India, confirmed the success of the motor test.
  • The aim of the event was to generate interest in space technology among children in the region and across India.
  • This launch in UP differed from previous tests in Ahmedabad as it directly launched a satellite using a rocket, proving to be entirely successful.
