<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="false"><li>ISRO has successfully completed the development of the Service Module Propulsion System (SMPS) for the Gaganyaan mission, India's first human spaceflight mission.</li><li>A full duration hot test of the SMPS for 350 seconds validated its integrated performance for a flight off-nominal mission profile.</li><li>The SMPS includes Liquid Apogee Motor (LAM) engines for propulsive force and Reaction Control System (RCS) thrusters for precise attitude control.</li><li>The System Demonstration Model (SDM) of SMPS underwent 25 tests under different conditions for a cumulative duration of 14,331 seconds at ISRO Propulsion Complex in Tamil Nadu.</li></ul>
