JAC Motors Australia is recalling its T9 dual-cab 4×4 ute due to a manufacturing defect in the curtain airbags that may lead to incorrect functionality in an accident.
Retaining bolts on the left and right-side curtain airbags may not have been fastened with sufficient torque, potentially causing the airbags not to deploy as intended, increasing the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.
A total of 161 vehicles produced between 2023 and 2024 are affected by the recall.
Owners of affected vehicles are advised to schedule a free fix with a JAC dealer and can contact JAC Customer Assistance for further information.
