Japanese tech giant, TDK, claims to offer a data transmission solution 10 times faster than current technologies. The innovation, called the Spin Photo Detector, uses magnetic, optical, and electronic technologies to achieve ultrafast data transfer speeds. The Spin Photo Detector reaches response speeds of just 20 picoseconds using light at a wavelength of 800 nanometers.TDK expects to supply samples by March 2026 and aims for mass production within five years.
