<ul><li>Japan-based investment firm Metaplanet has acquired an additional $7 million worth of Bitcoin, increasing its holdings to a total of $40.5 million.</li><li>Metaplanet has been aggressively purchasing Bitcoin since May 2024 and has invested 6 billion Japanese yen in the cryptocurrency.</li><li>The company's stock price surged by 11% following the recent Bitcoin acquisition and has gained 544% year-to-date.</li><li>In addition to direct purchases, Metaplanet is using options trading to increase its reserves, generating additional revenue of 23.97 BTC.</li></ul>
