Jeep is set to re-enter the midsize segment with a new Cherokee later this year, featuring a distinct Jeep design with a hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive.
The new Cherokee is expected to have competitive pricing and aims to compete in the popular midsize segment between the Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The previous Cherokee had a smaller cargo area, but the new model is anticipated to address this issue. The release is planned before the end of this year.
Jeep CEO stated that entering the midsize segment is crucial to bolster their mainstream lineup and compete in a lucrative market segment with abundant options.
