JioStar, the newly formed media giant resulting from the Reliance-Disney merger, plans to lay off around 600 employees in India.
The layoffs are part of a major restructuring effort to streamline resources and eliminate duplicate roles following the consolidation.
JioStar will provide assistance to affected employees through an outplacement agency and ensure health insurance benefits continue until the policy period expires.
To retain talent, JioStar will explore options to reassign some employees within the Reliance group companies.
