Keeper, a new game from Double Fine Productions, was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase and is set to release on Oct. 17 for Xbox Series X and Windows PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
In Keeper, players control a weathered lighthouse with legs and explore different environments with a bird companion. The game features a forest, illuminated cave, and a village populated by robotic characters.
Double Fine, known for games like Psychonauts 2, had initially paused Keeper's development to focus on Psychonauts 2. Keeper is expected to embody the same heartwarming and imaginative elements seen in Double Fine's previous titles.
Acquired by Microsoft in 2019, Double Fine has a reputation for creating artistically unique games, such as Psychonauts series and Broken Age, along with remasters of Tim Schafer's classic titles like Grim Fandango Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered.
