Architect Kengo Kuma has unveiled two sustainable Christmas tree sculptures at The Tokyo EDITION hotels in Ginza and Toranomon.
The installations are made from sustainably sourced Japanese woods and will be transformed into furniture by Karimoku Furniture after the holiday season.
The Kigumi tree in Ginza features silver and bronze finishes, while the Komorebi tree in Toranomon incorporates circular elements from underutilized woods.
The project highlights the blend of festive tradition, sustainability, and architectural design.
