Kia India plans to launch the Carens Clavis Electric, its first locally produced electric vehicle, around mid-2025, marking its entry into India's mass-market EV segment.
The Carens Clavis Electric is a 6-7 seater electric MPV aimed at offering an affordable three-row electric vehicle option for families interested in electric mobility.
By potentially using a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, Kia aims to combine range, safety, and affordability, targeting monthly sales of 1,000 to 1,500 units with a lifetime warranty.
The vehicle is expected to come with premium features like a dual-screen infotainment setup, wireless phone charging, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, advanced safety features, and Level 2 ADAS, transforming the mass-market EV segment in India.
