Krafton India has invested an undisclosed amount in Indore-based hyperlocal community app Shuru, aiming to digitally empower communities and foster local connections.
Other investors Omidyar Network India and Eximius Ventures also participated in the funding round for Shuru, which provides general trending updates, local shop information, buy-sell listings, and classifieds to more than 2 million monthly active users in India.
Shuru founders Mayank Bhangadia and Harsh Chhabra have backgrounds in successful startups like Roposo and GoParento. The investment will help Krafton engage with regional audiences and drive community connect, while Shuru can leverage the expertise of Krafton to provide high-engagement games and features to its user base.
Krafton aims to enhance user experiences, amplify regional connections, and contribute to the hyperlocal digital landscape in India through its partnership with Shuru, as part of its broader investments in the Indian startup ecosystem.
