Leapmotor Australia has reduced the warranty for its 2025 model year C10 mid-size SUV to six years and 150,000km, including the new C10 REEV hybrid.
The previous 2024 model came with a seven-year/160,000km warranty, with an eight-year warranty on its battery pack, and five years of roadside assistance and capped price servicing.
The warranty change for the 2025 model year does not affect existing 2024 Leapmotor vehicles, maintaining the eight-year/160,000km battery warranty.
While Leapmotor's new warranty aligns with Chinese rival BYD, it comes at a time when many brands in Australia are extending their warranty offerings, with Hyundai, Kia, GWM/Haval, Skoda, KGM, LDV, Mitsubishi, MG, and Nissan offering longer warranties.
