Lenovo’s latest laptop had an edge on the MacBook Air until this week
- The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is a new laptop that has been trying to contend with the MacBook Air 15-inch.
- Yoga Slim 7i has Intel's latest Lunar Lake chipsets and aims to rival the efficient M3 chipset by Apple.
- However, MacBook Air has had a recent upgrade, which provides it an edge over the Yoga Slim 7i. MacBook Air now starts with a 16GB RAM for the same price of $1,299.
- Both laptops are priced similarly on the lower end with MacBook's high storage prices making Yoga Slim 7i more affordable.
- MacBook Air 15 is faster and performs better in multi-tasking than the Yoga Slim 7i.
- The MacBook Air 15's Magic Keyboard is more comfortable than the Yoga Slim 7i's keyboard for long writing sessions.
- Lenovo's Yoga Slim 7i has modern Thunderbolt 4 ports, legacy ports and the most up-to-date wireless connectivity.
- Both laptops have a 1080p webcam, but the Yoga Slim 7i supports Microsoft's Copilot+ PC AI initiative while MacBook Air supports Apple Intelligence.
- Both the laptops have good quality, 15.3 inch IPS display with the MacBook Air 15 having wider colors.
- The MacBook Air 15 is denser and more power-efficient than the Yoga Slim 7i even with more speed.
