The Lexus UX300e, a small electric SUV, has been discontinued in Australia due to production restrictions on selected parts less than two years after its update.
Lexus Australia confirmed no plans to reintroduce the UX300e, but remains focused on electrification with various electrified powertrains being delivered.
The Lexus UX300e had limited sales in Australia, with 28 units delivered this year and 92 units last year, being outsold by rivals like BMW iX1 and Mercedes-Benz EQA.
Lexus Australia launched an updated UX300e in 2023 which featured a larger battery, increased driving range, and new infotainment system, leaving Lexus with only one electric vehicle in its lineup after the discontinuation of UX300e.
