The Linux Foundation has launched its India entity to promote open source collaboration in the country.
India is the second-largest market for open source developers and has 13.2 million developers using GitHub.
LF India aims to increase contributions to open source projects and support local developers, enterprises, startups, and government organizations.
The Indian entity will focus on segments such as cloud-native, telecommunications, edge/IoT, blockchain, security, and domain-specific AI technologies.
