SpaceX is set to launch the Bandwagon-3 rideshare mission on a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The launch is scheduled for 8:48 p.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 and will mark SpaceX's 245th orbital launch from this pad.
This will be the third launch in SpaceX's rideshare program to mid-inclination orbits, carrying various payloads.
Payloads include the fourth synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite for the Korea 425 Project constellation for the South Korean military.
Other payloads onboard include Tomorrow Company Inc.’s Tomorrow-S7 satellite and Atmos Space Cargo’s Phoenix re-entry capsule.
Atmos Space Cargo's Phoenix 1 mission, the German company's re-entry capsule, aims to collect data on the inflatable heat shield and execute a controlled re-entry.
The Phoenix 1 spacecraft carries payloads from DLR, IDDK, and Frontier Space, with objectives ranging from radiation detection to biological experiments.
Atmos Space Cargo received €13.1 million funding to develop the Phoenix 2 spacecraft, aimed at advancing reusable space technology.
The Bandwagon-3 mission has adapted its trajectory, shifting the re-entry path from Africa to off the coast of Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean.
Atmos plans an experimental monitoring approach during re-entry, using air-to-air reconnaissance to secure crucial flight data for future missions.
