Researchers at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) have developed BiMediX2, a medical AI model based on the Llama 3.1 model.
BiMediX2 excels in text-based and image-based medical tasks, such as analyzing X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
The model is integrated into the messaging platform Telegram, making it accessible for telemedicine applications.
Designed to benefit underserved regions in Africa and the Middle East, BiMediX2 aims to bridge healthcare gaps and enable better communication between patients and healthcare providers.
