Lost in Cult’s new Editions publishing label focuses on art and indie games preservation

  • Lost in Cult, known for producing books about video games, has launched a new game publishing label called Editions to focus on preserving indie games and celebrating their artistry.
  • Editions collaborates with DoesItPlay? to validate its titles to ensure proper game preservation that allows games to be played directly from physical media without needing downloads or internet connections.
  • Similar to Limited Run Games, Editions aims to elegantly preserve indie games and provide additional extras like fold-out posters, stickers, numbered authenticity cards, essays, developer interviews, and beautiful cover art.
  • The initial lineup from Editions includes Immortality, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, and Thank Goodness You're Here, with plans to release a new game every month starting in July at £59.99 each for preorder on the Lost in Cult website.
