Lost in Cult, known for producing books about video games, has launched a new game publishing label called Editions to focus on preserving indie games and celebrating their artistry.
Editions collaborates with DoesItPlay? to validate its titles to ensure proper game preservation that allows games to be played directly from physical media without needing downloads or internet connections.
Similar to Limited Run Games, Editions aims to elegantly preserve indie games and provide additional extras like fold-out posters, stickers, numbered authenticity cards, essays, developer interviews, and beautiful cover art.
The initial lineup from Editions includes Immortality, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, and Thank Goodness You're Here, with plans to release a new game every month starting in July at £59.99 each for preorder on the Lost in Cult website.
