The government of Louisiana has announced that it is now accepting cryptocurrency payments for state services.
Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming stated that they will accept USDC and Bitcoin as the two digital assets for payments.
The government has partnered with local payment processing companies to integrate crypto into its system and plans to convert received crypto payments into US dollars to avoid price volatility.
This move follows other US states like Ohio, Florida, and Colorado, which have already embraced cryptocurrencies for tax and state service payments.
