Madhya Pradesh and Kerala have the highest insurance coverage of senior citizens over 70 years under Ayushman Vay Vandana.
Madhya Pradesh leads with 8.17 lakh cardholders (23.53 per cent coverage), followed by Kerala with 3.97 lakh cardholders (14.80 per cent coverage).
Factors contributing to their higher enrollment rates include proactive measures, demographic structure, literacy levels, healthcare infrastructure, and awareness.
Challenges include infrastructural gaps, Aadhar-linked registration issues, and awareness deficits, which are being addressed through intensified efforts and state-specific solutions.
