A US resident tragically lost his life when his car plunged off a collapsed bridge while using Google Maps for navigation.
The family of the deceased has filed a lawsuit against Google, alleging negligence. They contend that Google was aware of the bridge's collapse nine years prior but did not update their navigation system accordingly.
The incident occurred when Philip Paxson, the deceased, followed directions from Google Maps and drove off the bridge, which lacked proper guarding, resulting in a fatal fall of approximately 20 feet.
