<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true"><li>A 27-year-old man from East Melbourne was arrested for driving a stolen Toyota LandCruiser through Melbourne's Northland shopping centre while trying to evade police.</li><li>The man allegedly crashed through the shopping centre after security notified police about the stolen vehicle.</li><li>Despite attempts by the police to block him in, the driver managed to evade them by driving through the shopping centre.</li><li>Footage captured by onlookers showed shoppers running to safety as the vehicle sped through the mall. One person was treated for shock.</li><li>The stolen vehicle was later found dumped in Northcote by the police.</li><li>Victoria Police revealed that the LandCruiser was stolen on June 2 from an address in Ivanhoe East using an electronic key reprogramming tool.</li><li>The suspect was apprehended at 8:30 a.m. the next day, and the reprogramming tool was seized.</li><li>Northland Shopping Centre has resumed normal operations following the incident.</li></ul>
