Mario Kart World, the launch game for Switch 2, has received a day one update to version 1.1.0 with new features like camera support, online play, LAN play, and increased character selection options.
Players can now use a USB camera for 'Camera Play,' play online, switch to LAN Play, upload/download ghosts in Time Attack, and see nearby players' icons in 'Free Roam'.
The update also improves operability in multiplayer, removes time limit for course selection in local/LAN play, and displays update data version on the title screen.
Originally planned for Switch 1, Mario Kart World was moved to Switch 2 to avoid compromises. The update focuses on online functionality improvements, and fans are excited about the new features.
