BSE Sensex declined by 76.99 points to 83,461.90, while NSE Nifty dipped 23.15 points to 25,452.95.
Tata Motors, Infosys, Bharat Electronics, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the laggards, while Tata Steel, Power Grid, Axis Bank, and Bajaj Finance were among the gainers.
With the results season starting, stock-specific actions are expected, and the market is closely monitoring tariff threats and TCS Q1 earnings kicking off on July 10.
