May Mobility plans to launch its autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform by the end of 2025 in Arlington, Texas, through a multi-year partnership.
This partnership allows May Mobility to expand beyond offering shuttles within campuses and communities, while Uber adds May Mobility to its list of autonomous vehicle collaborators.
Uber has started offering Waymo robotaxis in Phoenix and Austin, with plans to launch in Atlanta, putting it in competition with Lyft and May Mobility, which also announced a similar partnership for autonomous ride-hail in Atlanta.
In Arlington, customers will soon have the option to choose a May Mobility vehicle with self-driving technology, with plans to transition to driverless operations after an initial phase with human safety operators. The companies aim to expand to other U.S. markets in 2026 and deploy thousands of autonomous vehicles over the coming years.
