The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has formed a panel to develop a national framework for global capacity centres (GCCs).
The committee includes organizations like NASSCOM, Zinnov Consulting, ANSR, KPMG, and Invest India.
Several states in India, such as Madhya Pradesh and Bengal, are also formulating policies to attract investments in GCCs, semiconductor, and drone sectors.
India's GCC sector is projected to reach $105 billion market size by 2030, employing over 2.8 million people, and leading innovation in various segments like fintech, agritech, healthcare, and logistics.
