Memory and storage company Micron has announced that it will be raising prices across its product portfolio, including DRAM and NAND flash memory.
The price hikes are driven by the increasing demand for memory and NAND flash in AI settings, particularly in high-bandwidth memory (HBM) in data centers.
This could result in higher prices for RAM kits, SSDs, graphics cards, smartphones, and game consoles in the consumer market.
While the price hikes in the consumer market are expected to be smaller than those in the enterprise market, it is advisable to make purchases sooner before the increases take effect.
