The Mercedes-AMG C63 will abandon its controversial four-cylinder hybrid powertrain and adopt a six-cylinder plug-in hybrid configuration with increased performance.
The facelifted C63, expected in 2026, will utilize a 3.0-litre six-cylinder plug-in hybrid system borrowed from existing AMG models such as the E53.
The new hybrid setup is likely to produce greater power and torque than the current four-cylinder's 500kW and 1020Nm figures.
Mercedes-AMG previously confirmed the move to six-cylinder power following customer feedback and reports suggesting the return of the V8.
