Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 604 vehicles across the AMG GLC63 and GT63 model lines, due to a fault which can cause a loss of power.
The recall is a result of a software issue in the high-voltage starter generator, which may experience intermittent overload, leading to a deactivation of system functions and potential loss of propulsion while driving.
This recall poses a risk of accidents causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
Owners of affected models can schedule an appointment with an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the necessary work done, free of charge.
