Meta Platforms, the parent firm of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads, has donated $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration fund.
The donation comes after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg met with Trump privately at Mar-a-Lago.
Tech firms have donated to presidential inaugurals in the past, with Facebook not donating to either Biden's or Trump's inaugural.
Elon Musk, one of Trump's biggest tech supporters, has been appointed to head up the advisory group called the 'Department of Government Efficiency.'
