CEO Mark Zuckerberg also voted against the proposal, aligning with the majority decision.
Bitcoin advocate Ethan Peck argued that holding BTC could hedge against inflation, but the proposal did not gain traction within Meta or other major tech firms like Microsoft and Amazon.
While institutional investors and companies like GameStop and Metaplanet have embraced Bitcoin treasury strategies, Meta's shareholders have decisively turned down the idea.
