Meta has won an emergency arbitration ruling to temporarily stop the promotion of the tell-all book Careless People by a former employee.
The book, written by Sarah Wynn-Williams, a former director of global public policy at Meta, provides a detailed and critical depiction of the company and its top executives.
The ruling states that Wynn-Williams should cease promoting the book and, if possible, stop further publication, but does not require any action by the publisher, Macmillan.
Meta spokesperson, Andy Stone, stated that the ruling affirms that the book is false and defamatory.
