Meta, formerly known as Facebook, won a legal victory by temporarily preventing the promotion and further publishing of the memoir 'Careless People' by Sarah Wynn-Williams.
The arbitrator ruled that there is a valid argument that Wynn-Williams violated the non-disparagement agreement she signed when leaving the company.
Despite the legal actions, 'Careless People' remains available for purchase and has gained popularity, becoming the third bestselling book on Amazon.
Macmillan, the publisher, expressed their support for Wynn-Williams and the book, stating that the decision has no impact on them and they remain committed to publishing important books.
