Meta plans to enable brands to develop entire advertising campaigns from scratch using AI by the end of next year, as per a report by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
The AI tools being developed by Meta would allow brands to input a product image and budget goal, generating visuals, videos, ad copy, and targeting suggestions.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg envisions a redefinition of advertising, where businesses can specify their marketing goal, budget per result, and leave everything else to AI.
Meta's move towards AI-powered advertising is expected to particularly benefit small and medium-sized businesses but concerns remain over control, creative direction, and the quality of AI-generated ads.
