Microsoft CTO, Kevin Scott, predicts that 95% of code will be AI-generated in the next 5 years.
However, Scott emphasizes that this doesn't mean human programmers will be entirely replaced, as the most important part of code authorship will remain a human endeavor.
The integration of AI into programming is comparable to the shift from Assembly language to high-level language programming, according to Scott.
Scott believes AI will lower the barrier of entry to coding, enabling more people to become programmers, as well as simplify simpler, more personal coding needs.
