Microsoft Defender’s VPN feature will be killed off at the end of February
- Microsoft is discontinuing the VPN feature offered through Microsoft Defender.
- The service will end on February 28 for users with a personal or family Microsoft 365 subscription.
- The VPN feature allowed private browsing by routing internet traffic through Microsoft servers.
- This is the only feature being removed, while device protection and identity theft features will continue.
