Microsoft Edge is testing a feature called 'extension performance detector' that warns users if any browser extensions are slowing down the browser over time.
The feature notifies users of the slowdown caused by each extension and allows them to disable the extensions directly in the notification to improve browser performance.
Browser extensions are add-ons that provide additional features to Edge, but some can malfunction and hamper performance.
The 'extension performance detector' is currently available in the Canary build of Edge and is expected to be included in the stable version in the future.
