Microsoft has officially ended support for the cheapest device in the Surface lineup, the Surface Laptop Go, after just four years.
The laptop can still be upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 and will receive security updates, but no new firmware or driver updates.
While the support period of four years is slightly shorter than the average of six years for laptops, the Surface Laptop Go 2 and 3 will continue to receive updates until 2028 and 2029 respectively.
Users of the first-generation Surface Laptop Go may face potential bugs or problems with new Windows updates, as support has ended.
