Shanna Lee Gardner, the ex-wife of a Microsoft executive, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jared Bridegan, who was killed in front of his young daughter in an ambush-style shooting.
Gardner was indicted by a grand jury in Florida, and prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for her. She was arrested in Washington and will be extradited for trial.
Mario Fernandez Saldana, Gardner's husband, is also facing charges in connection with Bridegan's death, and the state is seeking the death penalty for him as well.
The triggerman, Henry Arthur Tenon, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and is cooperating with authorities by testifying against both Fernandez Saldana and Gardner.
