Microsoft has announced strategic partnerships with the Government of India and industry leaders in a bid to boost India's AI ambitions.
The partnerships aim to accelerate AI development and adoption, promote an inclusive and ethical AI ecosystem, and support rural AI innovation.
Microsoft will establish Centres of Excellence and AI Productivity Labs, skill 500,000 people in AI by 2026, and develop AI-enabled solutions across sectors such as healthcare and agriculture.
The company has also pledged $3 billion to fuel AI and cloud infrastructure in India over the next two years.
