Microsoft is launching autonomous AI agents, dubbed "virtual employees," that can handle tasks like client queries, sales lead identification, and supply chain management.
Customers can build custom agents or use one of 10 pre-designed bots, with early adopters including McKinsey and Clifford Chance. These AI agents, part of Microsoft's Copilot Studio, aim to increase productivity by reducing monotonous tasks and freeing up time for more valuable work.
CEO Satya Nadella highlighted their potential to transform the workplace, comparing AI’s impact to that of personal computers.
