Microsoft has replaced its chief people officer as it revamps performance reviews. Kathleen Hogan will step down to lead the "Office of Strategy and Transformation" as EVP, while longtime HR executive Amy Coleman takes over as chief people officer.
CEO Satya Nadella announced the move, highlighting the need for transformation in the AI era. Hogan, who shaped Microsoft’s workplace culture since 2014, played a key role in fostering a "growth mindset."
The shift follows Microsoft's recent layoffs of nearly 2,000 low-performers. Coleman will now oversee HR and the performance review overhaul. Nadella praised both leaders for their contributions.
