<ul><li>Microsoft has added another 389 megawatts of renewable power to its portfolio as the tech giant aims to meet the power demands for its AI ambitions.</li><li>The additional renewable power comes from three solar projects developed by EDP Renewables and will be used to power Microsoft's operations and cover demand elsewhere.</li><li>Microsoft contracts nearly 20 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity, and this purchase adds around 2% to that tally.</li><li>In addition to renewable energy, Microsoft is also investing in various forms of carbon removal to become carbon negative by 2030.</li></ul>
