Microsoft has launched Edit, a new command-line text editor for Windows, unveiled at the Microsoft Build conference.
The Edit app is lightweight, under 250kB in size, and has a modern interface resembling Visual Studio Code.
It supports mouse mode, common keyboard shortcuts, Word Wrap, Match Case, and Regular Expression features.
Microsoft has released Edit's source code under the MIT license, written in Rust programming language, and will be available in the Windows Insider Program soon.
