Microsoft is testing a redesigned Start menu for Windows 11 that offers a larger and more customisable layout, and the ability to turn off recommended feed.
The updated version of the Start menu consolidates pinned apps, the all apps list, and optional recommendations onto a single scrollable screen.
The new layout provides users more control over how the menu looks and functions, with expanded app pinning capabilities.
The changes have been backported to the 23H2 versions of Windows 11, indicating a broader rollout is expected in the next few months.
