Jeff Bodgan, a Microsoft veteran of 33 years renowned for his work on Windows 95, was recently sacked due to the adoption of a new HR model.
His role as Director of Learning and Development was eliminated as HR shifted to a hub and spoke model. Bodgan, who also contributed to Windows Phone and Zune, had pitched a progressive L&D strategy.
Despite his significant contributions, his tenure ended abruptly in February. His LinkedIn post reflecting on his Microsoft journey garnered support from peers and colleagues, lamenting the loss of a valued member and wishing him success in future endeavors.
