<ul><li>Microsoft has developed the Aurora AI model that can accurately predict air quality, hurricanes, typhoons, and other weather-related events.</li><li>Aurora has been trained on more than a million hours of data from various sources and can make predictions with greater precision and speed compared to traditional meteorological methods.</li><li>The AI model, Aurora, outperformed expert predictions by forecasting Typhoon Doksuri's landfall in the Philippines four days in advance and successfully predicted the 2022 Iraq sandstorm.</li><li>Microsoft has made the source code and model weights of Aurora publicly available and is incorporating its AI modeling into the MSN Weather app for hourly forecasts, including cloud predictions.</li></ul>
