<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true">Mimi Shodeinde opened her studio, Miminat Designs, in London after a two-year search for the perfect building. She found an 883-square-foot space in St. John's Wood, London, with an architectural nod to music history near Abbey Road Studios.Shodeinde transformed the space into a jewel box-like setting, showcasing her signature pieces and upcoming collections. The showroom features sculptural furniture, light fixtures, and artworks on the first floor, and a materials library on the second floor. The design includes an arch motif inspired by classical architecture and Shodeinde's own design language. The color palette reflects influences from Shodeinde's travels, with tones inspired by sacred spaces in Saudi Arabia.Textured finishes like limewash walls, microcement floors, stone, brushed woods, and rich leather enhance the showroom's aesthetics.Highlights at the showroom include a crimson NRIN vessel and a Howard Daybed crafted from travertine and brushed stainless steel. The showroom will host exhibits and installations throughout the year, starting with artist Alexandra Yan Wong's work.Shodeinde views the showroom as more than just a physical space; it embodies her philosophy of appreciating beauty in all aspects of life.
