The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) is determined to proceed with the 5G auction despite legal obstacles.
Out of the 196 MHz spectrum allocated for future auctions, 146 MHz is currently under litigation, causing significant delays and impacting investor confidence.
The Federal IT Minister highlighted that only 50 MHz of spectrum is presently available for allocation, with critical court cases blocking the release of the remaining spectrum.
To expedite the auction process, a special subcommittee has been formed to review the legal issues and enhance coordination with the judiciary for quick resolutions.
